‘I am a good boy. Why am I not being taken?’

It is truly heartbreaking.

'I am a good boy. Why am I not being taken?'

No-one loves me.”

Dogs do have feelings. They can feel happiness, sadness,
joy, pain and being unwanted and unloved.

It is heartbreaking when dogs at the shelter miss out on
being taken home.

They do their best to smile. Stand really nicely to impress
potential forever family. They force a smile in when they
might have been recently surrendered, or abandoned of
discarded like a piece of garbage.

But when these visiting humans who happen to be potential
adoptive families walk passed these hopeful dogs, they
cannot help but show the hurt on their faces. The feeling of
rejection. The repeated feeling of missing out. It is truly
heartbreaking.

‘I am a good boy. Why am I not being taken?’

I would like to take all of these beautiful pups but I already
have three adopted babies at home. I wish that I could. Very
much so. But the Council Regulation won’t let me. Darn the
Council Regulations!
