Despite Being Surrendered To Kill Shelter, Sick Shepherd With Tumor Is So Forgiving

Forgiveness is a very hard thing to do in a world that is so cold, and unforgiving itself. It is hard to grasp even the concept of forgiveness when you have been abused, neglected, and treated worse than the trash on the side of the road.

For one German shepherd named Junebug who can tell you all about her experience with a neglectful owner, she refused to let that get her down. In spite of being surrendered to the high kill Downey Animal Shelter in California, and grappling with a massive tumor growth under her belly, Junebug is so sweet, loving and forgiving. She would prefer to focus on the future, and not her past.

A Petharbor listing for Junebug reads,

“My name is Junebug and I’m an approximately 8 year old female German shepherd. I am not yet spayed. I have been at the Downey Animal Care Center since October 21, 2016. I am available on October 25, 2016. You can visit me at my temporary home at D113.”

Junebug is in need of a rescue, so she can go on and address her medical condition which shelter staff have diagnosed as a benign tumor. This loving, and kind dog who has nothing but love to show, deserves a second chance and only you can help.

If you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever home she deserves, please contact the Downey Animal Care Center at (562) 940-6898 and reference the shelter ID #A5004528. Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter, so we are closer to finding Junebug the forever home she rightfully deserves. We have done it before and can certainly do it again.
